Fight the Good Fight
I'm usually more over a lover than a fighter, but really, if its for something i love, then i'll fight.

October Road changed the way i thought about primetime drama. The paradigm we all knew and got used to was drama. Drama drama drama but i never had much substance watching some other shows, i just watched and followed the characters for awile. Then, i stubled accross a commercial for a new show, October Road. There was something about how the writers made and tailored each character to slide in perfectly next to eachother, and they all had interesting lives i wanted to be a part of, and the actors they got that played them were incredible, so believeable and genuine to their craft. Everything and everyone worked so well together.

I will fight for October Road.....and i ask you do the same.
Because in the end, a noble cause is always worth fighting for, even if you have nothing to hold up for it, you'll know in your heart you persued something great and strived for what was right.

Lets bring it back, "Roadies."

"New to the OR board at ABC.com? Wondering who to let know you want more stories with Nick, Eddie, Janet, and all the gang from Knights Ridge? This first round has been set up for you and long-time posters here.

Please send as many hand-written letters and postcards as you can to the following ABC executives on the target dates of Thursday,
September 11th and Friday, September 12th. We want to flood them
with mail on these two dates. So let your passion for OR shine

This is the most effective way to let our voices be heard (along with
keeping traffic on this very board and joining the ABC Inner Circle -
for those who haven't join yet, I'll repost the link below).

In the words of Mr. Rosenberg (co-creator of "October Road" and
writer of "Beautiful Girls"):

Seriously, guys? Do you even have to ask? The lads and I could go on to create a show that has the ratings of AMERICAN IDOL; the critical praise of THE SOPRANOS; and the cultural significance of ROOTS. And OCTOBER ROAD would still be our first love...

Fight on. Remember: there are three of us! We can multi-task like
nobody's business!

That said, though: at a certain point, the actors will move on. Who
can blame them, right? They will get other work (they're good, my
kids!), so they may not be available when and if, you save the

But keep fighting. Worst case scenario? I'll play Nick. Josh will
play Eddie. And Andre will play Big Cat.

No, not really. That wouldn't be good for anyone! :)

October Road
Great post Chris. I have not been on here in awhile. But I am sending in my letters and emails. I cannot give up the fight for this show. It is the only show that I have ever fought for. That is how much this show means to me. Keep up the great work and see you over on the boards.
